Dune March 2024

eventsEarly April

The Dune March is a walk that is held on two days every year (on a Saturday and Sunday). It started in 1952, when the first march was organized by the leadership of Scouting Admiral de Ruijter. In recent years, the number of participants varies between 13.000 and 15.000. The 5, 10, 15, 25 and 40 kilometers can be run on both days.

The start is at the parking lot at the Machiel Vrijenhoeklaan in Kijkduin. It is always a great atmosphere at the starting area! It almost looks like an outdoor mini-market, where all kinds of things are for sale. Participating is easy. You can pre-enter via the website, but you can also just come to the starting area. In the big tent there are a lot of people who will help you on your way. You'll receive a punch card and directions so you can walk the march. After the walk you can come back to the starting area and you'll get a well deserved medal in the big tent.
