The location is excellent for access to the center, and you don't need to walk far to see stunning parks, sights, and architecture in the city. Plenty of eateries and shopping right outside of the door. Live jazz seeps from cafes many...

I loved the atmosphere of the room, which could be made even more pleasant with a few minor renovations. The location is also really nice. It is also nice to be able to have breakfast in the warm atmosphere of the Bookstor Cafe on the same street....

Lovely little room in the middle of everything. Cozy decor, very friendly owner, good brekky, and of course lots of new reading inspiration. If you get tired of the books, there is a nice jazz bar just across the street. Overall a great stay.

Super cozy rooms at the top of the house, slanted roof with ceiling windows, lots and lots of books and plants and more space than I expected. An “office”, “bathroom”, “hallway”, “bedroom” and “living room” although there are no doors in between,...

Company info

Welcome, and good to know, we don't have: hair dryers, wifi front desk plastered walls there is noise from the street there is noise from the neighbors the floors creak just stairs there are no parking spaces there is no valet parking there is no concierge simple lighting simple bathroom no air conditioning Yet it still belongs to the most charming places of the Noordeinde. In the 400-year-old monument you can read, write, draw and paint. 75 plants spread over 3 rooms. Thousands of books donated by artists, museums, visitors and friends. Surrounded by beautiful history. If you look you will see it. In the 102-year-old bookshop on the same street you meet people from all over the world and discover the most beautiful books (and yes, there is the perfect WiFi and the best coffee).

Property info

Please, read before you book… because the Bookstor Hotel is not for everyone, but everyone is welcome. We dont have wifi..... ! You will not find any of the well-known luxury as you are used to from hotels, but more books, plants and even more old walls and floors as it was and nothing hidden. Its simplicity is challenging enough :) The owner has a more than 102-year-old bookshop with a wonderful atmosphere and award-winning coffee. Everything is a bit different there and that's good. The same goes with the hotel. Rather lots of books, places where you can read, draw, paint and just sit. No wifi, certainly no TV… Small, very steep, old stairs. With creaking wooden floors of 200 years old. Walls of stone, A tini sink, simple shower with beautiful green tiles. There are few hooks to hang all your stuff (but you will manage). The windows are protected, and very simple. They can open and you may need some help. There is good heating, especially if you turn it on. There is art on the wall and in the books. But nothing is like in most hotels, hotel guest robust test made. It is a beautiful fragile house, which is made more beautiful by owners and guests, and very sometimes not. We would like to prevent that. 75 plants spread over 3 rooms. Thousands of books donated by artists, museums, visitors and friends. Surrounded by beautiful history. If you look you will see it. If you stay with us, you will receive a freshly baked croissant and delicious coffee every morning in the Bookstor. There are also reading and acoustic music evenings that you can visit for free as a hotel guest. In the 102-year-old bookshop on the same street you meet people from all over the world and discover the most beautiful books (and yes, there is the perfect WiFi and the best coffee). Always welcome. xx
