International Kite Festival Scheveningen 2025

Every year at the end of September, the beach of Scheveningen transforms into a colourful spectacle during the Kite Festival Scheveningen – the largest international kite event in the Netherlands. With kites in every imaginable shape, size, and colour, it’s a celebration for all ages!

What can you expect during the Kite Festival in Scheveningen?

• International Shows: Marvel at breathtaking kite shows by kite flyers from dozens of countries. From power kiting to massive single-line kites – it’s a feast for the eyes!
• Themed Kites: Be amazed by kites inspired by sport, nature, history, technology, art and even science fiction.
• Europe’s Largest Kite: Almost every year, the largest kite in Europe takes off from the beach – a spectacular sight you don’t want to miss.
• Fly Your Own Kite: Besides the shows, there’s plenty of space to fly your own kite. Bring one from home or buy one on the spot – everyone can join in!
