Are the beaches of Scheveningen open and accessible?

The beaches of Scheveningen are open and accessible. Swimming in the sea is also allowed. Everyone in the Netherlands, also on the beach and in the sea, must keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from each other (unless they belong to the same household).

Are attractions, museums, theaters, restaurants, beach-pavilions, cafés and other tourist spots still open?

Since 1 June 2020, it is allowed for restaurants, beach pavilions, terraces and cafes to open again. Furthermore, many restaurants currently offer takeaway. Takeaway food at restaurants is also allowed.

Since 1 June 2020, it is allowed for theaters, concert halls, museums, monuments and cinemas to open again.

Are the shops and supermarkets open?

Supermarkets and shops are open and but need to follow the rules strictly.

Will events in Scheveningen still take place as planned?

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Dutch government has decided that all events are canceled until Septemer 1, 2020.

We strive for keeping the event overview on our own website as updated as possible. We also recommend informing yourself on the website of the respective organisation.

Can I be in a car with more than 2 people, with whom I do not form a household?

Yes that is allowed. It is recommended to wear a face mask with several people in the car with whom you do not form a household.

Is it possible to use a holiday home/appartement in the Netherlands with several families?

Yes that is allowed. People from different households must always keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
